Job Description: Property Accountant
Location: Birmingham, AL, 35242
Gateway Management a growing property manager company is seeking an Accountant to handle apartment community financials.
Gateway Management is growing! We are currently seeking a Property Accountant for our Birmingham office. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, preparation of monthly property financial statements, reconciliations, budgets, forecasts, cash management, communication with on-site managers, outside vendors and Housing Authorities.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly property financial statements
- Perform reconciliations
- Create budgets and forecasts
- Manage cash flow
- Communicate with on-site managers, outside vendors, and Housing Authorities
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting)
- Three to five years of previous accounting experience
- Previous property accounting experience preferred
- Strong computer skills
- Detailed oriented
- Ability to manage time well and meet deadlines
- Real Page OneSite Property Management Software experience a plus
